The wheelwright shop was established in 1875 by Gideon L. Ryman. The last owner of the store and wheelwright shop was Elizabeth Lieda. Time and better routes, as with most of the small towns in Knowlton Township, have passed Centerville by.The wheelwright shop has been converted into a home.
Peter Blair was at one time the owner of the Centerville Store. Farmers would exchange surplus equipment or cash for codfish, molasses, sugar, rum, snuff tobacco, calico and other household needs.
